Sight Word Table Names

I changed our table names today. Since the beginning of school our table names have been color words. Now that we have 8 sight words, we have more than enough to make our table names sight words! Below are the sight words for each table.

  1. What a fantastic idea! I will have to implement this in our classroom! What a great new way to sort groups for centers too! ;)

  2. Thank you! I love how the kids were super excited to be sitting at the "see" or the "like" table. They are practicing their sight words w/o even knowing it. I love sneaking learning on them :).

  5. Just found your blog. Love your idea of hanging sight words over their tables. I think I will do this with some of those harder words that they are having difficulty learning.

    Thanks,

Thank you! I change them from sight words, to word families and sometimes thematic words too! Enjoy!

  6. What a great way to practice words and the kids don't realize they are learning! How did you make the letters large?

    1. Hello!

Thank you for stopping by! I used the di-cut machine in our teacher workroom, glued them together, laminated and hung them up! Good luck making some of your own too! =)

    2. Thanks! I thought they might be die cut, but the letters look large. Our school has only small letters. I really want to make these!

  7. You might try using ABC Print and just print them on cardstock. Comic Sans works too since it is 'fatter' font/easier to read.

  9. I love this. We aren't allowed to hang things from the ceiling, but this gave me an idea to 'label' the kids with leftover nametags. They could be the same word for a week, or we could switch them up. Terrific idea!

  13. Love this idea. I have done 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 for table names in the past, but I've never done words. Carrie
