President's Day Pretzel Log Cabins!

The finished product of our pretzel log cabins!

While illustrating our poem in our poetry journals we looked up a picture of an elephant to help in our illustrations!

To finish our week learning about famous presidents, we made our very own pretzel log cabins! Abraham Lincoln, our 16th president, lived in a log cabin!

We read this book before our math/money lesson today. It was perfect and went right along with learning about the penny!

Surfer of the week Emily! She brought another book to read to the class. :)

Using our eno board, we studied the penny, nickel, dime and quarter. The students completed the activity at their seats!

Using our ENO board to read and listen to a story on CD! We listened to Substitute Groundhog. This story was in our listening station last week!

This week we are learning about our country's presidents! We read a weekly reader about two important presidents, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. We also are starting our study on money!

Our surfer of the week, Emily! She brought in one of her favorite books and read it to the class. Way to go Emily!
