This week we focused on our voice while reading the poem. We read the poem very dramatically and very boring. We chose which one was better. The dramatic voice won! The students really loved how funny the boring voice sounded though too! Below is a video of the dramatic voice we practiced all week :).

Riley and Dietrich working hard at word work station. They pulled a picture out and said the word. After saying the word, they listened for the beginning sound and found that letter. Watch how well they do!

Britain is reading away at the pocket chart station this week. Watch how he points to the words while reading! Way to go!

How does a pumpkin grow?!?! The students cut and glued different pictures in order of how a pumpkin is planted and grows. They then colored the pictures according to what they look like. The seeds are brown, the vine is green, the little pumpkin starts out green and then grows a little bit bigger and turns orange and finally is a BIG orange pumpkin ready to be picked for Halloween!!
