I-PICK!

As the semester is moving right along, I thought it was time to have a quick review of how to "shop" and choose a good fit book for our book boxes. We took time today to go back through how and why it's important to remember the phrase "I-PICK" when shopping for new books. Each student then got a turn to practice the process of returning a book and shopping for a new one today. As they shopped we talked about the books they were deciding between and what would make one book be a better fit over other ones!

Sentences. Sentences? Sentences!

For the past week we have been learning about three forms of ending punctuation. For one of our lessons we completed a chart filling in the different ending punctuation found in sentences that we read in our story "Clifford's Thanksgiving Visit". After finding a sentence that fit under one of the sections, we discussed why that sentence was a telling, asking or excited sentence in the story.
