Poem of the Week!
Reading:
-Our
sight words this week were the words “she”
and “all”!
-Please
remember to practice your sight word flashcards each day as part of your
homework.
-Our
word families this week were –it and -in
-We
continued working on using details to give more information about the main idea,
reviewed author’s purpose, and talked about reading with expression.
-The
CAFÉ strategy we worked on this week was
“Main
idea and supporting details”
“Author’s
Purpose”
How can
you help your child with the strategy at home?
Continue to talk about books you are reading with your child at home. Many of them are telling the topic of the book instead of the main idea. Practice giving at least 3 details about the main idea too. Of course, the more details the better. This will help them with their writing too!

practiced subtracting with number lines
-We
practiced subtracting by drawing pictures and crossing out pictures to subtract
-We
